ITS Rector Prof Ir Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng PhD emphasized that the collaboration with NU Clark is a strategic step to strengthen international academic collaboration in the fields of education and research. The step was taken through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NU Clark which was attended by ITS leaders and representatives of NU Clark and NEMSU online.

Looking back, Bambang emphasized that ITS has established a working relationship with NEMSU since 2021 through various programs such as CommTECH, introduction to Bahasa Indonesia, and lecturer exchanges. These activities have developed into joint initiatives that have a direct impact on the community. “Forward projections, the partnership with NU Clark can grow and create various new academic collaborations,” he said hopefully.
In line with Bambang, NU Clark Executive Director Dr. Arnel Aviles Diego expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to collaborate with ITS. He considered this collaboration as a promising initial step in strengthening educational connectivity in the Southeast Asia region. “This collaboration also answers the global challenges of education synergistically,” he said.
On the same occasion, NEMSU Rector Prof. Nemesio G Loayon was also present and explained the collaborative journey of the two institutions which has shown solid growth since the first year. He emphasized the potential between ITS’s technological and engineering excellence and NEMSU’s community innovation in producing transformative solutions. These solutions include smart agriculture, renewable energy, digital transformation of villages, and maritime technology for coastal conservation.
The partnership between ITS and NEMSU is not just an academic collaboration, but also an important step in supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1. By emphasizing the importance of global partnerships through mutually beneficial collaboration, both institutions are committed to creating innovative solutions that can have a positive impact. (*)
